You and your general practice

You and your general practice is a national guide on what you can expect from your GP surgery. It also explains what you can do to get the best from the NHS.

Local and NHS services

The surgery works in partnership with local and NHS service providers and groups.

Our surgery is part of the BADGER out-of-hours emergency service.

To use the BADGER service, ring this surgery when we are closed and your call we be diverted. Alternatively, you can telephone BADGER directly on 0121 766 2100 or 0300 555 9999.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
